Working
with US athletic specialist Ebbets Field, British brand Whistles has
produced a line of vintage-inspired baseball hats for spring/summer
2015, combining its pared-back aesthetic with the Seattle-based label’s
rich sporting heritage.
As a result, the unisex line comprises two limited edition bespoke flannel caps in navy and ecru, handmade in the USA using authentic manufacturing techniques.
Whistles makes its presence known by adding a ‘W’ applique logo to the front of the ecru option, while the navy blue style incorporates ‘WXTS’ branding to the rear – a nod to the TrekStock charity that all proceeds of the hat sales will be donated to.
This latest collaboration follows on from team ups with Stutterheim in February and artist Joe Cruz last November, each producing simple yet striking designs in keeping with Whistles’ well-crafted aesthetic.
The Whistles x Ebbets Field launches in Whistles stores May 14, with each hat priced £55.
