Luxury
menswear e-tailer Mr Porter has gone from strength to strength since
launching in 2011, and is now adding to its successful platform with a
dedicated sportswear section.
Offering an “edited selection of the best and most stylish in performance gear”, Mr Porter Sport plays host to key pieces across nine disciplines, including running, cycling, tennis, golf, training, outdoor, swimming, sailing and general fitness accessories.
The move sees Mr Porter welcome more than 15 fresh brands to its site, including Arc’teryx, APL, Condor, Oakley and Sperry, as well as offering new products from 10 of its existing labels.
The sports concept follows in the footsteps of Net-A-Porter’s ‘Net-A-Sporter’ microsite – a sportswear destination launched by the womenswear arm of the e-tailer last June.
To kick-start the launch of Mr Porter Sport, top industry names including Chelsea Football Club manager Jose Mourinho and fitness coach Ramel Murphy feature in a special edition of the site’s e-zine, The Journal, aptly named ‘A Sporting Man’.
