As Glamour pointed out, a British T-shirt company surveyed 1000 customers to learn their thoughts about people in particular colours—specifically, what works best for an interview. The result? Just like for a date, black was called “serious and reliable” and perceived as the most confident colour (according to 48% of women and 64% of men). So the next time you walk into a meeting for your dream job, try a black suit or black top-and-skirt set to show your interviewer who’s boss.
