After successful collaborations with the likes of London’s Garbstore and Oi Polloi under its belt, sportswear giant Reebok has now teamed up with Parisian-based record label-turned-fashion label Maison Kitsuné.
Inspired by “all-American preppy style”, the two brands have created a capsule apparel range based around a fictional baseball league, paying homage to Reebok’s strong roots in the sport.
The line comprises a host of sporting classics – including varsity jackets, sweatshirts, shorts, T-shirts and leather sneakers – each reimagined in modern technical fabrics for an “upscale sport luxe look”.
Vintage baseball team uniforms heavily influence the collection’s aesthetic, with a retro colour palette of cream, white, orange and navy, as well as collegiate-style lettering, adding an authentic throwback feel.
Maison Kitsuné’s signature fox emblem has not been forgotten either, with the animal becoming a mascot for the line, appearing on the baseball cap, T-shirt and lining of the varsity jacket.
It’s also utilised in the sock liner of the leather and suede Classic trainer, adding a touch of fun to a seemingly understated style.
The Reebok Classic x Maison Kitsuné collection is available now at select retailers worldwide and Reebok.com, with prices ranging from £12 to £220.
