Waxing VS Laser Hair Removal to Reveal Your Glowing Skin

Unwanted hair is not a part of any glowing skin beauty plan. But what’s the best way to remove your hair: waxing or laser hair removal? There are benefits and negatives to both options. We’ll leave it in your hands to decide which hair-free way you want to reveal the glowing skin underneath.

WAXING

Waxing involves the application of hot wax to your skin and hair. A paper is then applied and removed in the opposite direction to pull hairs out by the root. One quick wax and you immediately reveal your glowing skin for weeks.
  • Pros: Three weeks of smooth skin after just one application, and it only costs between $35-80 depending on the location of your hair.
  • Cons: Treatments can be moderately painful and at least a quarter inch of hair is required for effective treatment. Waxing is not permanent—hair will always grow back—and sensitive find it abrasive.

LASER HAIR REMOVAL

Laser removal involves the application of a specialized laser, which targets your actively growing hair follicles and inhibits the growth for permanent removal.
  • Pros: Great for long-term hair removal. After multiple treatments you can have no hair regrowth and always reveal your glowing skin. It’s also safe for all skin types, even sensitive skin.
  • Cons: Hair is not removed immediately. In fact, it can take 2-3 weeks for the hair to fall out. It can also be quite painful and to receive the full effects it takes about six sessions at about $95-250 each.

While it’s expensive, in the long run, laser hair removal will be more cost-effective since after six treatments your hair will be permanently removed. If you’re at all concerned about your hair removal, talk to your dermatologist about the best option for you and take their advice on how to reveal your glowing skin.
